Adaptive Fishing Day

Adaptive Fishing Day is an annual summer event held at Van Hook, ND, open to adaptive participants ages 5 and up. Participants spend the day on the water learning to fish alongside experienced local anglers. Fishing takes place from boats or pontoons, with a power lift available if needed.

In addition to fishing, the event includes contests, prizes, and time to relax at the nearby beach, picnic shelter, volleyball court, and playground. Lunch is provided, and families are encouraged to bring snacks, drinks, sunscreen, bug spray, towels, swimsuits, camping chairs, and life jackets.

Cost: $15 per participant

Eligibility: Adaptive participants ages 5 and up

Location: Van Hook, ND (detailed directions provided with registration)

Required: Participant consent form

Additional Requirements:

• Life jackets required for all participants on the water

• Ages 16 and older must purchase a fishing license in advance

Adaptive Fishing Day takes place each summer, typically in July. Registration opens May 1.
