Empower your strength, balance, and fitness with Prairie Grit Power! This adaptive group fitness class is tailored for athletes of all abilities, providing a supportive environment where you can build physical power and confidence. With our skilled coaches, you’ll engage in exercises designed to enhance strength and stability, with modifications that meet each participant’s unique needs. Prairie Grit Power meets every Tuesday from 4:00 to 4:45 pm, welcoming participants ages 10 through adults. Join us and discover the possibilities of fitness without limits—your strength journey starts here! Sessions are 45 minutes in length.

Nerf Battles
Details
Nerf Battles with Minot Park District. Get ready for action with our high-energy Nerf Battles event, designed for grades K–8! Join us for an unforgettable experience where strategy, teamwork, and friendly competition come together. Participants will engage in Capture the Flag-style Nerf battles, using provided Nerf equipment, eye protection, and team-colored shirts. Each match is designed to keep players moving and thinking as they aim to capture the opponent’s flag without losing their own.

Join us for our Support Group for Parents with children with special needs at the Minot Family YMCA. This in-person event provides a safe and welcoming space for parents to connect, share experiences, and receive support from one another.
We will discuss various topics related to parenting special needs individuals, including education, healthcare, and social integration that you may need help with or are concerned about. Our goal is to create a supportive community where you can find encouragement, resources, and understanding. This first meeting is all about learning what you think you need to know more about.
Whether you are seeking advice, a listening ear, or simply want to connect with other parents who understand the unique challenges you face, this support group is here for you. Join us at the Minot Family YMCA and let's navigate this journey together. We look forward to seeing you.

Gymnastics with gymagic
Details
Typically our most popular activity and great to get started with Prairie Grit. Join Adaptive Gymnastics with Gymagic and get your child set to tumble, balance, and bounce. Gymnastics has two sessions (Fall & Winter). There are two different classes in each session available on Saturdays for ages Ages 3–16. The cost is just $5 per class and registration is required.

Sled Hockey
Details
Our signature sport, Sled Hockey, is available to any adaptive athlete from 5 years and up. This sport is a perfect fit for all abilities of children and adults who may have trouble participating in mainstream sports. Our youth hockey team, the Prairie Grit Wolves, practice at the MAYSA Arean on Saturdays during the season. We have Open Adult Hockey Wednesday nights throughout the season. This is open to all abilities 18 and older.

Wheelchair Basketball
Details
Experience the energy of wheelchair basketball, an inclusive program for all abilities! Hosted at the YMCA, our sessions offer a welcoming environment for both newcomers and seasoned players to enjoy the game.
Youth Basketball takes place every Sunday from 4:00 to 5:30 P.M., running March 16 through April 27. Adult Basketball meets Wednesdays from 8:30 to 10:00 P.M. throughout March and April.
Participation is free, but a completed consent form is required. Join us for a chance to play, learn, and share the court with others who love the game.

at Bottineau Winter Park
Details
Join us for a day with Annie's House Adaptive Recreation Program at Bottineau Winter Park. This event is for ages 5 and up. Free of charge. Friends and family that come along will pay regular fees, prices are listed on skibwp.com. There are limited spots available for skiing and snowboarding. All participants can also participate in tubing. Sign-up will be first come, first serve with a waiting list available if spots open. Participants will be assigned a morning or an afternoon session for their lessons. There is a cafeteria, also there is a room to leave coolers or sack lunches. We look forward to another great day and hope you can join us.

Join us for the Spring Adaptive Swim Meet at the Minot YMCA, designed to welcome participants of all ages, from 4 to adults. This event is inclusive of all abilities, with accommodations such as life jackets, pool noodles, and personal assistants readily available. Participants and their families are invited to enjoy a series of swim events, followed by complimentary free swim time. The event is free of charge, but pre-registration is required.

Easter Egg Splash
Details
Bring the family for a unique Easter egg hunt experience—right in the pool at the YMCA. Join the Prairie Grit Adaptive Heat, designed for children with disabilities and their families. This event offers a supportive and inclusive environment where kids of all abilities can dive into the fun. Each child will enjoy 5 minutes of egg hunting followed by 20 minutes of open swim time.
Each participating child will receive a prize bag, making this a memorable Easter celebration.
